Histograms: measured TOF spectra from the charge exchange reaction pi¯ p -> pi° + n in liquid hydrogen (LH2), after background subtraction, for flight paths 3.82 m, 8.39 m and 11.10 m. The time is measured from the centre of the neutron peak corresponding to the reaction at rest. Curves: fits to the data including Coulomb de-excitation process. The numbers n -> n' indicate the fitted positions of the steps in the TOF distribution of neutrons which are emitted after the corresponding Coulomb de-excitation transition.
